Auburn

- EST 1849 -

Auburn is a beautiful and historical town nestled in the foothills that dates back to the gold rush days. People come from all over to visit Auburn California and soak in the historical small town feeling that has been preserved for close to two centuries. Although Auburn has a small town ambiance, many are surprised by its size. Auburn is an expansive 7.5 sq miles, and with the continuing explosive growth of placer county, this is on the conservative side.

Auburn itself offers a whole array of activities, but one of the best things about living in Auburn is the location. An hour East of Auburn and you can be in the mountains having fun in the snow during the winter or enjoying the beautiful Lake Tahoe during the summer. Less than an hour West and you will be in Sacramento, the capital of California, where nightlife and business is bustling. But, most people that move to Auburn realize that this small city has such an abundance of things to do, they don’t have to leave to enjoy a wide variety of activities.

Residents and visitors alike can be seen enjoying the beautiful American River, taking part in many of the endurance and outdoor activities the area has to offer, wine tasting, eating eclectic, or playing golf at one of its 6 courses, one of which has been rated as a top 10 course to play in California by golf digest.
